[ "Be Unique!" Archives]

• • Here are the answers for previous rounds of "Be Unique!"

• • January 29th - February 2nd
Category: Name a 1955-1985, TOP 40 charting song title, artist or group that contains the name of an NFL teamin it.

If applicable, your responses can ignore pluralizations of the football team name.
If submitting the name of an artist, football team name must be contained in the artist's last name.
Using the cities, towns, states instead of the actual "team name" will not qualify.

You'll note that I accepted some really goofy answers this time that weren't really "legal," but they made me laugh and this *is* OldiesFun, isn't it? Bear with me, I think you'll agree they deserve the points just on humorous merit.

In your emails, many of you mentioned possible alternate answers which were ultimately not chosen. For example, Pookie's excellent list included:

Leaving On A Jet Plane (NY Jets)
Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey (Buffalo Bills)
Crispian St. Peters (New Orleans Saints)
The Lion Sleeps Tonight (Detroit Lions)
Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear (Chicago Bears)
Ragtime Cowboy Joe (Dallas Cowboys)
Nappy Brown (Cleveland Browns)
The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown (Cleveland Browns)
St. Therese Of The Roses (New Orleans Saints)"

Pookie's list included a bunch of answers that would have netted him the 3 points for a unique answer but he ultimately chose one that didn't! Grrrrrr.
