2 can represent either A, B or C
3 can represent either D, E or F
4 can represent either G, H or I
5 can represent either J, K, or L
6 can represent either M, N or O
7 can represent either P, Q, R or S
8 can represent either T. U, or V
9 can represent either W, X, Y or Z

Answer:

As you can see a number can stand for different letters in the same puzzle.
For instance the
number 6 stands for both the "O" in "Oldies" and the "N" in "Brain."

Three Top 40 charting songs were listed in telephone code. All three songs were hit singles by the same recording act.

For three points players needed only name the mystery act that charted with all three songs and not all three song titles.
